As the number of car shows and events taking place in UK rises every single year (not a bad problem for car enthusiasts to have), it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to decide which events are worth attending in 2019.  Whether you’re looking for motorsports, family-friendly events, modified or classic car shows, we’ve got you covered!

Whilst the top 10 is not conclusive, we are constantly updating the list with new motoring events to show you best events for the next couple of months to keep you up-to-date and make sure you don’t miss out on the best British car events in 2019.

Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Goodwood’s Festival of Speed is acclaimed as one of the world’s best celebrations of motorsport and car culture. The Festival of Speed gives opportunities to get up close and personal with the cars, bikes and their owners who make the Festival of Speed as spectacular as it is. Changes for the 2019 event make for the festival to be bigger than ever. With the addition of an arena for drift cars, an FOS future lab; giving attendees a glimpse into the motorsport future and shootout Sunday which offers the chance to see head to head races of the fastest cars in the event. 

As much as it is an adrenaline filled event, it is a great family day out too. There is a designated area for families near the start line. Children can get involved in activities such as face painting, tot car racing in addition to witnessing a full-scale Maclaren race car made out of Lego. Families can get involved whilst still experiencing the excitement of motor racing. It’s an event that’s not to be missed. Find all the details below:

Gravity 2019 is set to be the best one yet! Bigger and better than 2018, this year’s show presents up to 700 of Europe’s best modified cars along with attractions and events including live DJ’s, famous drift and race cars, parades of modified cars and race simulators.

This show is supported by some of the best companies in the automotive industry including Red Bull Motorsport, Auto Finesse and Drift Society giving Gravity a successful edge against similar shows of its kind. It’s a great chance to see some of the best modified cars as well as it being a great day out for families. Find all the details below:

BMW Show at Santa Pod

The BMW show at Santa Pod Raceway is an exclusive event specifically for BMW owners. This includes, BMW classics, retros, and new minis. Race cars, show cars and bikes are also welcome at the event. The show includes some of the most popular events and attractions from the Ultimate Street Car show that happens later on in the summer. Such as Run What Ya Brung and Drift What Ya Brung, jet cars, fun fair and live DJ’s.

Attendees at this show have the option of camping at Santa Pod over the weekend, in which they can experience the evening entertainment at the Fuelers bar as well as the events during the day. BMW enthusiasts can’t miss this! Find the details below:

The Silverstone Classic

Silverstone’s historic racetrack paired with historic classic cars makes for one of the best weekends in the racing calendar. Attendees can witness classic Formula One cars, sports cars, GT and Touring cars in action, in addition to extras such as world GP bike demonstrations. Car clubs are extremely popular at the Silverstone Classic with over 100 clubs attending and many of them making it their main event of the year. Not only does the Silverstone classic appeal to those with a need for speed, the retro run is perfect for those that want to enjoy a fun and leisurely event that still celebrates classic cars. 

It’s an event that attracts both motor enthusiasts and families alike with its array of activities and the addition of a live music line up on both the Friday and Saturday nights. Family events include, stunt shows, rally demos, 4x4 rides and a vintage fun fair which is sure to keep the family occupied whilst still enjoying the racing.

Tickets: General admission adult tickets range from £45-£120 depending on which days and how many days that are being attended. Hospitality tickets are available from £77-£359.

There are young adult tickets that are priced from £51-£108, children tickets that are priced from £6-£12 and children under 5 go free. Family tickets are also available.

It is important to note that tickets cannot be purchased at the event. All tickets must be purchased before arrival!

Car Fest

Founded by Chris Evans, Car Fest is a two-venue event running across two different weekends. One in Cheshire (North of England) and one in Hampshire (South of England). Although it is known as a festival style event, cars are at the forefront of the weekends, with track events, motor shows with test drive opportunities, two paddocks and dream rides.

It is a family friendly event with fundraising at its heart. It is the UK’s biggest fundraising festival, raising money for UK children’s charities. Along with children’s activities based around the cars, there are plenty of other activities including skating demonstrations, play areas, Dick and Dom shows, and the Good Toy zone.

This is one of the UK’s most family friendly car events, full of music and food. So, get the gang together for a weekend of Car Fest fun! Find more details below:

Tickets: There are a variety of tickets for Car Fest available. These include, weekend with camping (£178), weekend without camping (£144), day tickets (£69-£80) and VIP tickets (£133-£368). Children’s tickets are also available and children under 6 go free but they still need a ticket. All tickets must be purchased before arrival.

Beaulieu Supercar Weekend

Every part of this weekend is as ‘super’ as the supercars on display. Beaulieu is the perfect back drop to host some of the world’s most prestigious and exclusive cars, delivering an adrenalin filled weekend for enthusiasts’ and families alike.

Attendees have the chance to get up close and personal with the supercars along with seeing them in action. Events over the weekend include, demonstration runs where visitors can witness the cars acceleration and braking capabilities. Feature displays with car clubs showing their best motors and a supercar sound off where cars compete to see which one makes the loudest noise. Tickets to this event also allow access to other attractions at Beaulieu including the National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear, Palace House and more.

USC- Ultimate Street Car

Ultimate Street Car (USC) is one of Europe’s largest modified car festivals. It calls itself the UK’s most extreme car show, so it is nothing like the traditional motorcar events! This is an adult centred event with many of the attractions having over 18 only regulations on. Over 18 events include, pole dancers, a lap dancing club, comedy hypnotist and Mr and Miss USC competition.

However, it’s not all X-rated entertainment. Other events include ‘Run What Ya Brung’ which allows attendees to race their friends on the most famous quarter mile in Europe. Club displays which allows groups over 10 to camp and display their modified cars. Music zones with acts such as Big Nartstie and Tinchy Stryder playing. Burnout competitions, flameout competitions and handling competitions are also popular, drawing large crowds to the live action arena. Additionally, car football, Man vs Food and stunt shows add to the modified car madness!

VW Action

As the longest running VW show in the world, VW action celebrates everything Volkswagen! The event is renowned for always putting on a show and this year is set to be no different. This year’s theme is Roman Toga party and attendees are encouraged to dress up and enjoy the fancy dress theme. This is a fun and party style event however cars are still at the forefront.

Every VW is welcome at this show whether it be street cars, show cars and race cars. This show is specifically designed to cater to everyone’s motor tastes and events include drag racing, show and shine and chances to trade/buy parts. Santa Pod’s ‘Run What Ya Brung’ is also a prominent feature at the event allowing VW owners a chance to take on the famous quarter mile. This is a family friendly event with children’s show and shine events and a children’s V world. So, it’s a perfect way of gathering family and friends together for a weekend of VW madness!

Car Shows in September 2019

Concours of Elegance

Concours of Elegance is one of the most prestigious classic car shows in the country, exhibiting 60 of the rarest cars in the world. The majestic setting of Hampton Court Palace provides the perfect back drop for the cars to be shown on a global platform. Many of the cars that attend this show have never been seen in the UK before making this event a must see.

This show is not the typical motoring event, with the owners of the cars judging the cars themselves instead of external judges choosing the ‘best in show’. In addition to the Concours of Elegance, 100’s of classic motors will be at the show including those competing for the club trophy. This event is perfect for those who are wanting to attend a car show with a classic and timeless difference. Details of the show are below:

Car Shows in November 2019

Classic Motor Show

The NEC in Birmingham displays over 3,000 classic motors and brings together over 300 car clubs making the Classic Motor Show one of the world’s largest shows of its kind. Attendees not only have the chance to admire the cars on show but to drive, buy and find supplies for their own classic motors.

Events run throughout the weekend that make the show even more exciting including the discovery live stage which shows interviews with car manufactures, game shows, celebrity Q&A’s and more. Silverstone auctions present at the event giving attendees to buy classic motors for a range of budgets. The car restoration theatre is a great way for motor enthusiasts to learn tips from the best in the business and witness the art of classic car restoration. The practical challenge event has seen some transformational restorations in previous years where teams aim to restore a car over just three days. It’s a popular element of the show that allows enthusiasts to see the restoration process from beginning to end.

As one of the biggest classic motor shows, it’s no surprise that it attracts some of the motoring worlds finest. Guests over the years have included motor sport legends such as Norman Dewis, Rosemary Smith and Barry Lee. As well as celebrity enthusiasts such as Steve Coogan, James May and Guy Martin. Attendees can catch a glimpse of guests on the live stage or may just bump into them whilst walking round the NEC. Either way it’s a great opportunity to pick up tips from the best.

Tickets: Tickets can be bought on a daily basis or a weekend and 3-day pass is available. Ticket prices vary depending on the day and children tickets are also available. Prices range from £27.50-£76.00.

Tickets can be purchased on the day, however, if you book online before midnight on the 7th of November 2019 a 15% discount is applied.
