Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the heap!! I detail cars part-time and my customers are just thrilled to see my super-exotic waxes that I use on my cars. Then they see my Turtle Wax paste next to them and I am asked what is that stuff for? "For my cars" I reply. I will put original Turtle Wax up against any fancy over-priced wax any day of the week. One client had me do half of his hood with expensive wax and the other half with Turtle Wax and he couldn't tell the difference!! When something has been around as long as Turtle Wax has you know it is a quality product and not everything new is not better. Turtle Wax has protected car finishes for the last 60 some years and it will continue to do so!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turtle Wax is Tough Stuff I have used Turtle Wax liquid wax for years. It goes on easily, wipes off with a little rubbing, and protects for 2-3 months. Always enjoy the beaded raindrops and nice shine.Today, I couldn't find the liquid, but did find this Super Hard Shell paste wax, so I tried it. Went on easily. Great container. BUT, it is really tough! Very hard to buff off the excess. Took 3 times the effort of removing the liquid wax. So beware...don't do the whole car at once unless you have a mechanical buffer. I have a good feeling the Super Hard Shell paste wax will last a lot longer than the liquid green wax. What is your experience?Turtle Wax fan from New England.PS. Whenever I sell my old, old cars, buyers always admire how much better the body looks than newer cars they have seen. I credit Turtle Wax!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best After doing some research I realized I was leaving the wax on my car for too long - which made it pretty difficult to remove. The secret is to remove the wax as soon as it is dry. That's about 1 minute after applying it. This makes removal much easier. I've used Turtle Wax for over 30 years and would never consider any other wax. The price point is excellent and the results are as good as anything else on the market. Plus, that hard shell finish really lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW ~ Super Shine I've spent roughly $5,000 over the years on product X and have been detailing for ten years. Put this wax on my pure white Jeep Rubicon and I have never been able to produce a shine like this wax produces ~ clean surface, apply thin layer of this wax, hazes in less than a minute and simply wiped it off using a double MicroFiber towel. Good-bye brand "X" ~ hello Turtle wax!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product!! For years I used high dollar wax. I know a guy who has been building custom cars for the last 40 years and he is quite famous for his work. So I asked him how do your paint jobs always have that wet look to them even after they are over 10+ years old ? He said I tell my customers to use good old turtle wax after every wash. I was stunned because this guy uses the most expensive products on the market for everything. So I said why turtle wax ? He said its cheap, it has a hard shell that resists the elements, it works with all paints, and I have never had any issues with it when it comes to re painting a car that has had this wax used on it. So I went out and bought a can and first used it on my fathers Peterbilt dump truck. I washed the truck and used Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover to make sure that the surface was free of any grime. I washed the truck one more time and wiped it dry. Then I rubbed on the first coat of wax letting it dry and buffed off the haze with a soft cotton towel. I put three coats of wax on the truck. It took a lot of time but when I was finished I could see my reflection in the green paint job when I was finished and that truck was not that shiny from the dealer. Now here is where this wax actually saved the paint job. My father was at the plant getting loaded with fresh extremely hot asphalt. They had an accident at the plant and hot asphalt went all over the hood and the cab of the truck now this asphalt is extremely hot, sticky, and will usually ruin any paint job. My father got the truck out fast with a broom and knocked off the asphalt off the hood and cab. He drove the truck out into the yard and grabbed a wash down hose and got the asphalt off the body of the truck as fast as he could. He said that wax acted like a release agent and did not allow the asphalt to stick but the wax did come off. This wax protected the paint and hand lettering on the doors and hood from serious damage. I washed the truck again the way I described above and you cannot tell that the hot asphalt accident ever happened. I use this wax on all four of his green Peterbilt trucks and they look amazing and they are much easier to keep clean and looking sharp. These trucks get used hard year round and get very dirty from job sites. I use this wax on all the chrome and aluminum on these trucks because it does an excellent job of protecting these surfaces from the harsh work elements these trucks go thru. Also now use this wax on my black 2007 Harley Sportster. The bike has over 50K on it and I ride it year round its my only mode of transportation. I first use turtle wax black color magic with a few good coats of this wax over that and people look at my bike and say wow how do you keep it so polished out, shiny, and why does the paint always have that wet look ? I tell them the story above and they are blown away. Proof that a quality wax does not have to be expensive, have a fancy label, and even professionals use it. Thank You Turtle Wax for such a great product.P.S. Please make your Black Color Magic with chip stick more available and in more colors please it is also a great product. My custom car builder friend told me about it and again he has been building high dollar cars for over 40 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gold Standard of waxes Tell anyone you are using turtle wax and you will always get a chuckled expression. My first tub was in 2007 randomly off a gas station shelf.Shine and beading was great but after 4 days in the open, it will no longer be looking "just waxed" although still better than 90% of the vehicles around. It made me addicted to detailing and I would readily spend to try found the "perfect product". From Hi Glaze 88, Glare, Meguiars Gold class, Meguiars ultimate quick detailer. Meguiars Cleaner wax, Turtle wax liquid paste, Soft99.Im back to this and nothing came close to creating a PERFECT Finish. Neither does anything last as long.Tips:Do it in a shade.Wash your car firstA thin layer of wax is sufficientAvoid leaving the wax on for too long.Applicator sponge should be slightly damp.Buff lightly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can be a lot of work removing haze and buffing. Two cars. First a 7 year old Ford Focus. Went on and removed like it should. Second: a 6 month old Ford Escape. Same indoor heated garage. Went on like the Focus. 20 minutes later tried to wipe it off. Acted like it was still partially wet, took a lot of rubbing. Let it dry overnight. Wow, did that take a lot of rubbing. Taking breaks, it took an hour to remove. My hands are real sore. Does look real good. Something about the paint on the 2014 Escape?
