from Use painter's masking tape. Stains paint. I applied this to my 2007 Honda CR-V which has lots of black plastic trim. I had never treated my trim so was very faded gray. Applied product and after several coats, it looked dark black and shiny. I was pleased. HOWEVER... you really need to use painter's masking tape to prevent getting it on paint. Product says you can remove it from paint by using moist cloth immediately. IT DOES NOT even seconds later. It left brownish stain on paint adjacent to trim where product bled off trim. Looks horrible and haven't figured out how to remove it. DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT MASKING TAPE. Does NOT come off with damp cloth even within seconds after drip.

from Works great.... Until a rainstorm. I used the jet black trim restorer about a month and a half ago and was very impressed. I followed all the steps and it turned out great, that is until a few days ago when a rainstorm hit. The storm lasted a few days (yesterday being the worst; I could barely see 5 ft out my window). When I looked at my truck today the rain had caused the stuff to chip horribly. If you live in an area where your vehicle is never in the rain I highly recommend this; but being as that is probably impossible I recommend to not use it. I have yet to find anything that works and doesn't fade or chip on black trim

from LOOKS GREAT, BUT I'm very happy with the final results. But getting there was trial and error. I followed the instructions, to use the sponge applicator. Way to drippy, left runs everywhere. DO NOT GO OVER A PARTIALLY WET AREA. IT WILL STREAK.I used a soft clean cloth and applied like wood stain. Much better results. The more coats you apply, the darker and better it will looks. Multiple coats did cover the drips and streaks. One more thing, tape off the painted portion of your vehicle from the plastic trim.

from it's black and messy I tried this on my 2010 Audi A4 with mixed results. First, you must wear gloves or your fingers look like you dipped them in India ink. The "gloves" they provide are nothing but a cheap, hand-shaped grocery bag which can be used only once at most. You must follow the instructions to quickly wipe with a damp rag any excess product from windows, chrome trim or paint or you will have a black mess on your windows, chrome trim or paint. The product does a good job of covering textured, softer bumper & trim parts. However, on the hard plastic Audi grill it left a streaky, uneven mess. I tried a second coat to no avail. I used brake cleaner in order to remove this mess from the grill. I just don't think this product is any better than other products such as Armor All and it's a lot harder to use and very expensive. I returned it the next day for a refund.

from Protection for Lower plastic body parts on SUV I selected this product to put on a protective coat on the lower body plastic of the SUV I just purchased. The last two cars I owned did not have any lower plastic body parts so I never had the need for a product like this. Product is a little messy but I was amazed at the difference in appearance and shine. Even on a vehicle that was just purchased. If it stands up to the washings and makes cleaning the lower part of the SUV easier, it will be well worth the money.

from Terrible Product I bought yesterday and used today. It leaves awful streaks and looks like someone painted it on with a brush. No shine. My poor truck looks horrible.

from The best product if you know how to apply When first time i used this product,i noticed bad streaks, you need to apply atleast 4 to 5 coats for best results.if you do 1 or 2 coat, then you will get nothing but terrible streaks.and final coat you do with cloth, like people used to polish furniture, this step is compulsary,if you dont do this, you can not save your trim from streaks..it takes time, you have to be passion to get marvellous results.this product can make your trim and bumpers look great if you know how to use it,or this product can make you trim look terrible if you dont know how to use it.

Greetings from Valley Falls, Ks.. My name is Woodie Parker, and I was wondering if the jet black endure-shine attracts dust after it dries. I live on a gravel road one mile from the hway, have had dirt cling to my 'used to be' black tires, after it dried
You should not experience any dust clinging to the Jet Black Products.

This product is terrible got it on the paint of my BMW and now it looks like s>>T. How do you get it off the paint pf a vehicle without ruining the paint on the car........
We are sorry to hear that some excess product got on the painted surface. We recommend using a compound to remove it. Since it is so close to the trim, we suggest using our ICE Speed Compound, which is safe if it gets on the trim or plastic of your car.
